Once you check-in, you finally get to go up the stairs to the roller coaster platform. There isn’t an ADA option for this (nor for getting on the roller coaster), so you will want to access the stairs and the roller coaster car before making your reservation. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, by now, you’ve heard that Carnival Cruise Line’s biggest, newest ship, Mardi Gras, features a roller coaster that zips along the top deck. If it were free, then we’d ride it several times during a cruise as it was that much fun. But at the current price, we’re happy to experience it once but can’t justify paying that much again.
The only difference between the two itineraries is the order in which the port calls and sea days occur. Kids and adults who aren't afraid of heights will enjoy the top-deck ropes course, which offers two options for different levels of skill and bravery.
